Riad Mélina-Au Coeur de la Médina - Petit Déjeuner

Dissapointing service even if the riad is beautiful Positive: The riad is well decorated & each room has an en-suite. The upstairs terrace & lounge are great spaces! Although the location isn't where it is on Google maps or booking.com it's still quite central & only a 15-20min walk to the main square. Negative: The location of the riad is not the same place as on Google maps or where it's shown on the booking.com map. The property forgot about my booking & I was left waiting 3 hours late in the evening before I was finally greeted to be let into the property. Apparently they'd forgotten about my booking & no one replied to the contact number provided by booking.com. During our stay it rained in Marrakech & the downstairs flooded & the drainage was blocked. The lounge had a 1cm of rain throughout with the carpets soaked. The next day the cleaner came to clean the mess but we were left with soaked carpets hanging over the banister for the whole day. There was never any compesation for the issues with the flooding or the issues to check in to the riad. The breakfast was very limited with mostly just bread & there was no fresh fruit or yogurts or other breakfast items. The chef who was also the cleaner was very kind although she would stay in the riad for half of the day meaning we had limited privacy.
